Hong Leong Financial Group Berhad (25.4% held by Guoco)

Hong Leong Financial Group Berhad ("HLFG"), an associated company of the Group, is an integrated financial services group, listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ("Bursa Securities"). Its businesses cover commercial and consumer banking, Islamic banking, investment banking, life and general insurance, Takaful insurance, fund management and unit trust, corporate advisory services and stockbroking. HLFG's main subsidiaries comprise Hong Leong Bank Berhad and Hong Leong Islamic Bank Berhad (banking, finance and unit trust activities), Hong Leong Assurance Berhad (life insurance business), MSIG Insurance (Malaysia) Berhad (general insurance business), Hong Leong MSIG Takaful Berhad (Takaful business) and Hong Leong Capital Berhad (stockbroking, futures, corporate advisory, asset management activities and unit trust activities).

Hong Leong Bank Berhad

Hong Leong Bank Berhad ("HLB"), HLFG's subsidiary company listed on Bursa Securities, is one of the leading local banks in Malaysia and provides comprehensive services in personal financial services, treasury, corporate and commercial banking. HLB, following the successful acquisition of the EON Bank group, serves its customers through an extended network of over 300 branches sales and business centers in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Cambodia along with a comprehensive range of alternate and electronic channels including self-service terminals, call center, online banking as well as mobile banking services.

HLB was the first Malaysian bank to enter the China banking sector with a 19.99% strategic shareholding in the Bank of Chengdu Co. Ltd ("BOCD"), the largest city commercial bank in Western China. It has a 49% interest in Sichuan Jincheng Consumer Finance Limited Liability Company, a joint venture company between BOCD and HLB. In Vietnam, HLB is the first and only Malaysian and Southeast Asian bank to be granted a licence to incorporate and operate a wholly owned commercial bank. It also launched its 100% wholly owned commercial bank in Cambodia. The bank also established a representative office in Nanjing in 2014.

HLB's Islamic banking subsidiary, namely Hong Leong Islamic Bank Berhad focuses on Shariah-compliant commercial banking, Islamic wholesale and investment banking as well as Islamic wealth management.

Hong Leong Capital Berhad

Hong Leong Capital Berhad ("HLCB") is an investment holding company listed on Bursa Securities. HLCB has two main subsidiaries namely, Hong Leong Investment Bank Berhad ("HLIB") and Hong Leong Asset Management Bhd ("HLAM"). HLIB is involved in investment banking, stockbroking business, futures broking and related financial services, while HLAM's main businesses are unit trust management, fund management and sale of unit trusts.

HLA Holdings Sdn Bhd

HLFG's insurance businesses are held via its wholly owned subsidiary, HLA Holdings Sdn Bhd. Following the strategic partnership with Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group ("MSI") of Japan, its insurance interests are currently made up of a 70% interest in Hong Leong Assurance Berhad ("HLA") which provides life insurance services in Malaysia, a 30% interest in MSIG Insurance (Malaysia) Berhad which provides general insurance services in Malaysia, 100% interest in Hong Leong Insurance (Asia) Limited and HL Assurance Pte. Ltd. which provides general insurance business in Hong Kong and Singapore respectively and a 65% interest in Hong Leong MSIG Takaful Berhad focusing on Takaful insurance.

The strategic partnership with MSI created the second largest general insurance company in Malaysia by gross written premium and enabled HLA to leverage on MSI's strength in marketing, distribution and product innovations in developing its life business.
